- Domicile: Permanent resident of West Bengal
- Enrolment: Pursuing regular course in class 11/12, UG, PG, diploma, engineering, medical, professional or research program (State-aided Institutes only)

- Class 11/12 admission: 60% in Madhyamik/higher secondary/equivalent
- UG admission: 60% in class 12
- PG admission: 53% in UG (General), 55% for technical courses, 45% for Kanyashree K3
- Diploma: 60% in Madhyamik for 1st year, or 60% in HS/ITI for 2nd year lateral entry
- M.Phil/PhD: Enrolled at State-aided Institute (No specific %; must not have other government scholarship for same stage)
